The Convention RESOLVE-2026

RESOLVE-2026, the upcoming 4th edition of the International Convention on Insolvency Resolution and Valuation, organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) through its Insolvency, Bankruptcy and Valuation Standards Board, is scheduled to be held on 8th and 9th January, 2026 on the theme “Enabling Resolution, Maximising Value”. This global convention will once again bring together regulators, policymakers, insolvency professionals, valuers and domain experts from across jurisdictions to deliberate on evolving best practices, regulatory reforms and forward looking strategies shaping the future of insolvency resolution and valuation worldwide.

Since its inception, the RESOLVE series has charted a compelling trajectory of global collaboration and professional dialogue. It began in 2023 with the inaugural edition in Singapore, focusing exclusively on insolvency and laying the foundation for structured international dialogue in the field. The second edition in 2024, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, expanded the scope to encompass both insolvency and valuation, bringing together global thought leaders for deeper engagement on emerging sectoral, regulatory and policy challenges. The third edition, RESOLVE-2025, held in Mumbai, India’s dynamic financial capital, further strengthened this evolving legacy, providing a platform where insolvency and valuation converged, heritage met innovation, and strategic dialogue translated into meaningful outcomes for the profession.

Building on nearly a decade of transformation ushered in by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, RESOLVE-2026 arrives at a defining moment in the evolution of India’s insolvency ecosystem. Rooted in the Bankruptcy Law Reforms Committee’s vision of a unified, time bound and creditor driven resolution framework, the IBC has significantly strengthened creditor participation, improved recovery outcomes and fostered greater institutional capacity.

The enactment of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Act, 2026 marks the next phase of this reform journey. The Amendment Act seeks to reduce procedural delays, strengthen creditor oversight, enhance clarity in resolution and liquidation proceedings and introduced a creditor initiated insolvency resolution process for specified categories of corporate debtors. Against this backdrop, the fourth edition of RESOLVE seeks to carry forward the legacy of its predecessors while examining the opportunities and complexities emerging from this renewed legal and institutional framework.

With the insolvency and valuation ecosystem becoming increasingly mature and sophisticated, RESOLVE-2026 will facilitate deeper international engagement, explore emerging issues in group and cross-border insolvency, examine the practical implications of recent amendments, and address evolving developments in valuation. The convention will bring together insolvency professionals, registered valuers, regulators, adjudicating authorities, academics and other stakeholders, equipping them with the insights, capabilities and global networks required to navigate the next phase of India’s and the world’s evolving insolvency and valuation landscape.
