Mr. Abizer has over 30 years of experience across audit, consulting, and investment banking, with deep expertise in special situations, high-yield mandates, and CIRP advisory since 2008. He has played a key role in several high-profile transactions, including the administration and liquidation of Lehman Brothers India, the sale of MF Global India to Philip Capital, and insolvency engagements involving Srei, DHFL, and GoAir. Earlier in his career, he was involved in landmark deals such as the merger of IDBI Ltd. with IDBI Bank, strategic acquisitions by ICICI Bank and Akorn, multiple joint ventures in financial services, and overseas acquisitions for leading IT and BPO companies. Formerly a Partner leading the Financial Services and Restructuring practice in India, he stepped down in June 2024 to focus on new initiatives under NeoStrat, board positions, and continued professional development. Mr. Abizer is a Rank-holder Chartered Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce. He has also served on various committees constituted by the RBI, MCA, and SEBI.
