CA. Amarjit Chopra has been in the profession for a period of more than 46 years. Presently he is Part Time member of the National Reporting Authority (NFRA). He is also a member of the Standing Committee on Corporate Laws constituted by Govt. of India for the last three years. He also acted as Technical Advisor to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board of IFAC. He was a member of the Professional Accountancy Organising Development Committee (PAODC) of IFAC for a period of three years from 2011 to 2014. He has jointly authored a book on Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). He was also on the Board of Insurance and Regulatory Authority (IRDA), South Asian Federation of Accountants, and Confederation of Pacific Accountants for the year 2010-2011. He was a member of the Committee on Accounting Issues of Insurance Companies constituted by IRDA. CA. Amarjit Chopra did his graduation and post-graduation from Delhi University. He qualified as Chartered Accountant. He successfully completed his PhD on the topic “NPA Management in Banks: A Comparison of Public and Private Sector Banks in India”.
